The brand
Fun Peanut (欢囍花生), founded in Shanghai in 2019, took a category that traditionally lived on street stalls — Chinese roasted peanuts and nuts — and moved it into shopping malls as a modern, directly operated national chain. The brand pairs traditional "double-happiness" festivity with contemporary retail: open displays, on-site sampling, and a bright red identity that signals freshness and celebration.
The brief
Chain food retail is a different fixture discipline from one-off boutiques. Fun Peanut needed:
- A repeatable kiosk and counter program that adapts to different footprints — island kiosks, corner counters, and inline storefronts — while staying unmistakably on-brand
- Open food displays that keep product visible and sample-ready while meeting hygiene expectations: curved glass sneeze guards, easy-clean serving decks, generous back-of-counter workspace
- Fast, low-disruption installation, because mall and transit-hub sites only allow overnight fit-out windows
- Consistent build quality across sites produced in parallel batches
What we built
- Curved tempered-glass display counters with tiered bulk-snack trays, integrated scale and packing stations, and stainless serving surfaces
- Signature red canopy and fascia system with the brand's arched logo plaques and "signature items" menu panels, adapted per site to island, corner, and inline formats
- Fluted metal base cladding in brand red with stainless kick plates for durability in high-traffic, high-cleaning-frequency environments
- Illuminated signage packages — halo-lit channel letters and acrylic lightbox plaques — pre-wired at the factory
- A decorative "roasting fire" display feature built into select counter fronts, giving the fixture a warm, freshly-roasted visual cue
- Standardized internal storage, bag dispensing, and POS positions so staff operations are identical at every location
Built for rollout speed
Every unit was fabricated, pre-fitted, and packed as a site-labeled kit. Installations were completed in overnight windows — the crew unwraps, positions, connects, and the kiosk trades the next morning. The gallery below includes an in-progress overnight installation at a transit hub alongside finished locations, because that install discipline is the product for a chain client.

Project takeaway
For a chain, the fixture question is never "can you build one" — it's "can you build twelve, identically, on staggered deadlines, and install each one overnight." Program standardization, batch production, and install-minded packing are what make a rollout feel effortless from the client's side.
